King Lawal Hearing

King Lwal a Conservative Party councillor was suspended for tweets about Pride LGBT issues. Supported by Christian Legal Centre, Cllr Lawal instructed lawyers to prepare legal action alleging multiple violations of his rights to freedom of speech and freedom of religion. His appeal was successful and he was reinstated in October 2023 but not without great personal cost.
